Wash & Care Instructions for Your Soccer Uniform

 Muddy, Stained, and Dirty Uniform

Picture this: your child just played a fierce match, and their pristine soccer uniform is now covered in green grass stains. It's a common sight on soccer fields.

Or, does this sound familiar... Post-game celebrations often involve delicious food and drinks. Unfortunately, those sauce splatters on your jersey are far from appetizing.

Hopefully, you've had no issues caring for your uniforms in the past. But, if this is your first time caring for a custom uniform, or perhaps you've had poor results in the past (numbers stuck together or permanently wrinkled), we have some great tips to help remove stubborn grass, dirt, or food stains without damaging your uniform — and extend the life of the customized numbers, logos, and custom team embellishments...

Step 1: Pre-Treatment is Key

For stubborn stains like grass or sauce, pre-treatment is essential. Apply a color-safe stain remover or a mixture of mild detergent and water directly to the stained area. Gently rub the fabric together, but avoid excessive scrubbing, as it may damage the fabric, numbers, or logos.

Step 2: Use the Right Detergent

Always opt for a mild, color-safe detergent when washing your uniform. Harsh detergents can fade colors and damage logos and numbers. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as they can cause discoloration and deterioration of heat-transferred elements.

Step 3: Turn Uniforms Inside Out

Before tossing your uniform into the washing machine, turn it inside out. This helps protect the outside and keeps heat-transferred logos and numbers from rubbing against other clothes or the washing machine drum.

Step 4: Choose the Right Wash Cycle

Select a gentle or delicate wash cycle with cold water. High temperatures can cause colors to fade and heat-transferred elements to peel. Additionally, avoid overloading the washing machine to prevent excessive friction.

Step 5: Air Dry

The heat from a dryer can be detrimental to the longevity of your uniform. Instead, air dry your soccer uniform by hanging it on a line or laying it flat on a clean surface. Avoid direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can cause colors to fade.

Step 6: Handle with Care

When folding or storing your uniform, do so with care. Avoid crumpling or bunching it up, as this can cause heat-transferred elements to crack or peel.

We understand, your uniform is not just a piece of clothing; it represents your team and your passion. So, whether you're facing grass stains, sauce splatters, or concerned about fading custom embellishments like logos and number, you'll be well-equipped to keep your soccer uniform in winning condition. With proper care, your uniform will continue to be a source of pride, the whole season long.
